Feather Comforter
Do I need a special soap to wash a cat urine down comforter?
I just returned from a trip of 5 days to find someone to leave cats in my room while I was away and now my bed smells like cat urine. I have my sheets and duvet cover in the wash, but I'm not sure what to do with my down comforter and down cushion. Both are very thick and moist without being heavy. I'm not sure exactly where the cat (or cats) peed on them. Are dry and I he was not home when they are wet. I just put in one of those huge front-loading washers have in laundries, and it costs me less (and probably faster) to go to the cleaners. I do not know if I need to use a special soap to ensure that the cat urine smell is gone, or if I need something for the feathers. Could someone help me?
soak w / the homemade cat odor pee remover can do with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. It is the only thing that really really works out to pay $ 5 – $ 10 for the guy in the store. Just google "Baking soda hydrogen peroxide cat urine" to find easy recipe. Sometimes takes 2 tries to completely eliminate the odor, but usually only one!
