Striped Queen
I found an ant with a very long back end in my bathroom. What species is it?
is it an ant? What is it called. i looked up types of ants but could not find this type. it has a very long backend with kinda stripes on it? Could it be a queen ant?
i don’t think it is a bachak ant.. i live in ohio. not the rainforest.
It’s could be a new queen carpenter ant looking for a place to start a colony – they may be attracted to the odor of fungus in wet wood. Perhaps the wood beneath your bathtub would make a great place for an ant nest?
