West Cowboy

What are the advantages and disadvantages of a cowboy way of life in the wild wild west?
I need this for a school project.
During the 1800s, life was less stressful and more self-reliant people. As a whole, which in general were raised with good morals and a word was his Mans bond. You did not have to close their doors and can borrow a cup of sugar or gallon of milk from your neighbor (because I knew who they were). People depend from one another, for people to be more careful of himself (hence the term 'being' Neighborhood.) Your children could play in the streets and walk miles home, as everyone in town watched with everyones children. On the down side, life was not given to you. You worked long days and had little in terms of relaxation. N PS2 or HiDef TV. You could not go to cinema and live theater is limited to large cities. An entertaining evening would be sitting on the porch reading or singing with his family. As cities held social events and dances, which were limited to once a month. Hairdressing salons and these were not places for take your family, but you could take them to a hotel for dinner, since most of their food outlets were there (not fast food drive-through). Travel was also very limited. You did not pack and go to the beach in Florida if you live in Kansas, unless his family moved. Medical care was also very limited in the Wild West. Most of its major western medical doctors withdrew from the east, or medicine men who never finished his medical degree and moved west into practice. Many times your city doctors were 50 + miles from home, and you had to travel to them unless there was an emergency and still I had to call the doctor … what he did for a trip of 100 miles to take days. Medical assistance was also limited. While a doctor can establish a bone and treat basic injuries was very low in the treatment of any disease or infection. When someone was sick, sick, sent for the pastor and doctor, at the same time. Hope I helped.
